Questions, answered.

When and where does TaxiNaija launch?

Our official launch is in Ibadan, Oyo State, in 2027. We are running a beta in Ibadan from late 2026. More Nigerian cities follow, and the United Kingdom in 2028.

Does joining the waitlist cost anything?

No. Joining is free for riders and drivers, and you can ask us to remove your details at any time.

Can I download the app now?

Yes. The Rider and Driver apps are on Google Play as early access, so you can set up your account. Rides open when we launch. iPhone apps are coming soon.

How do I become a TaxiNaija driver?

Join the waitlist as a driver. We will contact you on WhatsApp to start onboarding: you will need a valid driver's licence, your NIN, your vehicle papers and a guarantor.

Which vehicles can I drive or ride in?

Cars (Regular, Premium, Luxury and XL), Keke and Bike. Keke and Bike trips run during set daytime hours for safety.

How much do drivers keep?

Drivers keep 85% of every fare. TaxiNaija's commission is 15%.

How can I pay?

Cash, card or bank transfer. Card and transfer payments are processed by Flutterwave.

Is TaxiNaija coming to the UK?

Yes. After Ibadan and more Nigerian cities, we plan to launch in the United Kingdom in 2028. UK visitors can join the waitlist now: pick "United Kingdom" as your city.

What do you do with my waitlist details?

We use them only to tell you about the launch and, for drivers, to start onboarding. We do not sell your data, and we delete it when you ask. Read our privacy policy.

How do I delete my TaxiNaija account?

In the app (Rider: Settings, then Delete Account; Driver: Security & Privacy, then Request Account Deletion), or on the web at our account deletion page.
